An agreement on International trade on a Global Level appears to be out of reach.   WTO Chief Pascal Lamy has suspended talks saying the gaps among the G-6 members were too wide.  Stewart Wells is The President of the National Farmers Union and witnessed some of the discussions on Canada’s end as a deal was trying to be worked out.   Many feel that the talks broke down because the u-s and the e-u did not show enough flexibility on the issue of agriculture. Wells says the N-F-U has been suggesting to Canadian negotiators that we get involved in bi-lateral negotiations or one on one discussions with individual countries.
