Swift Current wasn't the only community in the southwest celebrating their centennial in 2014, as the town of Eastend held their celebrations in the summer.

In August the town held a weekend full of fun and visiting with events including Mini Chuckwagon races, the J and S Trick Riders and a Cabaret. Two evenings of fireworks was another highlight of the celebrations.

Chair of the Centennial Committee and Mayor of Eastend, Alan Howard reported that many people were home for the celebration and a good time was had by all.
