Country Music Radio is your country concert connection in the great southwest. In the past few months we've given away tickets to Johnny Reid, Paul Brandt, Charlie Major and on Valentines Day we hooked Laurie Penner up with a pair of tickets to one of the biggest concerts of the year in Saskatchewan in 2012, Lady Antebellum. One of the most talked about shows all over the world in recent years, The Vagina Monologues, is coming to Swift Current's Lyric Theatre March 9th and 10th. The production will feature all local actors and tickets are on sale now at Pharmasave for $18 each and will go fast so don't wait. Proceeds will benefit Southwest Crisis Services. There will be dialogue, drinks, and dessert following both shows so get your tickets and support this very worthwhile cause.
The Swift Current United Way is selling their trip lottery tickets now. They are only $50 each, with only 999 being sold and ten awesome trips being given away including Disney Land, Cuba, Las Vegas, San Francisco, A Carribean Cruise and more. Draws begin March 10. For tickets call 773-4828 or email unitedway@sasktel.net. The local United Way is also having a bbq this Friday from 11:30 until 1:30 at Standard Motors. You can get tickets there and also have lunch, get a burger and drink for just $5, or get a trip ticket that day and lunch is free. Support the community by supporting the United Way and the work they do.
