The Salvation Army in Swift Current is preparing for the busy Christmas season and their annual campaign.
Major Don Grad says support from the community and area for the food bank has been fantastic but they could still use more items like breakfast cereals, canned goods such as fruits, vegetables, and meat, as well as dried pasta. Donations can be dropped off at the Salvation Army 780 1st ave. NW. Registrations for Christmas hampers will be held on Monday, November 27 at the Salvation Army offices.
The Miracle Room in the Swift Current Mall will hold it's grand opening on Saturday, November 25 and will again feature the angel tree. The Eagle will be on location at the grand opening.
The Christmas kettles will also be set up at various locations around the community. The SA thanks everyone for the continued support of helping them make sure everyone can enjoy some Christmas cheer and spirit.
