Major Don Grad and the Swift Current Salvation Army are ready for another busy and exciting Christmas campaign.
The campaign will kick into high gear this Saturday, November 24 with the official opening of the Miracle Room in the Swift Current Mall near Safeway. The Miracle Room will again this year feature the Angel Tree and people can take an angel off the tree and fulfill a loal boy or girl's wish. The Eagle will be live on location for the opening on Saturday.
Look for the kettles set up around the city over the next few weeks including Pharmasave, The Liquor Store, Pioneer Coop, Walmart, and the Miracle Room. Please support the kettles when you seen them. The community Christmas dinner will be held on Christmas Day and is open to everyone who'd like to attend for a delicious meal and some fellowship.
Applications for Christmas hampers are now being accepted at the Salvation Army offices at 780 First Ave. NW.
This year's goal is $220,000 with last year raising $226,000. Grad says they are very thankful to everyone in Swift Current and area for their continued generous support of the annual Salvation Army Christmas Campaign.
