EVANS

Lillian Mary Evans, beloved wife of the late Floyd Evans, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at the age of 87 years.  She leaves to cherish her memory four children, Karen Evans of Medicine Hat, Kim (Michelle) Evans of Invermere, B.C., Kerry Evans of Regina and Dean Evans of Moose Jaw; and nine grandchildren ten great grandchildren Stephanie (Tim) Haroldson (their boys, Iden and Ashlin), Shauna (Steven) Seymour (their daughters, Chloe and Aleeya), Carissa Zacharias (her daughter, Jovi), Jordan Evans (his daughter, Teleah), Brieanne Evans, Christine Evans (Lindsay Wudrick) (her daughter, Shayanne), Ryan (Nina) Evans (their daughters, Charlie and Ryley), Kelsey Evans, Brayden Evans and one great great granddaughter Hadley.  She was predeceased by her parents, Tina and Jacob Rumanski, seven brothers and six sisters.  Lillian was born on December 24, 1930 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and was raised on the farm near Vonda.  At a young age she moved with her mother to Vancouver and from there she moved to Toronto to live with her sister, Rose.  It was there that she met Floyd who was an RCMP Officer.  They were married on January 22, 1954 in Toronto, and started their journey through Saskatchewan where Floyd was stationed at various places including Prince Albert, Mankota, Willow Bunch and Morse.  They retired to Herbert, and later settling in Swift Current.  Following the passing of Floyd, Lillian moved to Saskatoon and then to Medicine Hat to be closer to family.  Lillian was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles, and played lots of “nertz”.  She had a small circle of good friends who enjoyed each others company.  At the age of 74 Lillian was still playing tennis with her grandchildren.  She will be dearly missed.  A memorial service will be held at Warrren’s Funeral Chapel (126 2nd NE, Swift Current) on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.  Interment of ashes will follow in the Mount Pleasant Burial Park (George Street East).  To e-mail an expression of sympathy, please direct it to: pattfh@telusplanet.net subject heading: Lillian Evans, or you may visit www.pattisonfuneralhome.com  and leave a message of condolence.
