Federal Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz
Farmers can expect the Canadian Wheat Board and grain companies to reach handling agreements “very soon”, according to the Federal Agriculture Minister.
Gerry Ritz says the Government is staying out of the negotiations.
He says the government would prefer to not have to give the CWB regulated access to handling facilities.
Ritz was in Winnipeg this week and spoke to attendees at the Grainworld Conference about the changes to wheat and barley marketing.
