A baker's dozen worth of records fell or were tied at yesterday's SWAC District Track & Field meet.

Seven of 13 records fell in girls events - among those, five new Bantam Girls marks were set:

Midget Girls Shot Put: Kamryn Johnson - SCCHS - 10.66m (Old record: 9.87m)
Junior Girls Discus: Madison Howell - Consul - 33.61m (Old record: 33.12m)
Bantam Girls 1500m: Hillary Lacelle - Wymark - 5:29.53 (Old record: 5:33.53)
Bantam Girls 100m: Paris Appel - All Saints - 13.19 (Old record: 13.56)
Bantam Girls High Jump (TIED): Joren Gramlich - Burstall - 1.45m
Bantam Girls Triple Jump: Mardi Wagner - Fox Valley - 9.45m (Old record: 8.88m)
Bantam Girls Shot Put: Myra Halderman - Frontier - 9.36m (Old record: 9.03m)

The other six records were set on the boys side, where it was most notably the Rhett Vavra and Scott Joseph show - the Swift Current duo combined for five of the six new marks.

Midget Boys 200m: Rhett Vavra - SCCHS - 23.62 (Old record: 24.00)
Midget Boys 400m: Rhett Vavra - SCCHS - 55.28 (Old record: 55.84)
Junior Boys 100m: Scott Joseph - SCCHS - 10.78 (Old record: 11.46)
Junior Boys 200m: Scott Joseph - SCCHS - 22.53 (Old record: 23.56)
Junior Boys Triple Jump: Scott Joseph - SCCHS - 13.78m (Old record: 12.68m)
Bantam Boys 1500m: Elijah Nicholas - Vanguard - 5:06.87 (Old record: 5:13.87)

Of note, Joseph was one centimetre shy of a tying a fourth record - his jump of 6.51m in Junior Boys Long Jump was just short of Lee Wolfater's mark of 6.52m set in 1999.
