The season wrapped up for the 14U Girls Junior SunDogs Black team at provincials over the weekend.

Competing in Saskatoon, the Sundogs finished in seventh place at the provincial tournament.

After an opening loss, the team quickly turned it around, tallying four straight victories.

They defeated QCVC Royal Impact 25-20, 25-23, Lanigan Blue 25-16, 21-25, 15,7, HVC Green 25-15, 25-15 and Prince Albert Toppers Esprit 25-11, 25-19.

However, after a loss in their final round robin game, the SunDogs were tripped up in back-to-back playoff games.

Falling in a close 23-25, 23-25 contest to BVC Impact and 25-12, 24-26, 8-15 to the QCVC Black Aces.

In their final contest the SunDogs bounced back for a 22-25, 25-9, 15-10 over the Regina Beach South Shore Stingers.

Provincial tournaments will continue this upcoming weekend.
