A big tournament win for the 15U Junior SunDogs girls club volleyball team this weekend.

They went 4-1 in matches and 8-3 in sets to win the event in Moose Jaw.

"It was a surprising weekend for all of us," said Coach Tyler Byers. "Our last tournament didn't go as hot. Our girls pulled together and everybody had a highlight in every game."

Bryers believes they found their sense of urgency after a weak start.

"I think we got a lot of confidence this weekend," said Byers. "It's a stepping stone into the next tournament in Saskatoon. There will be bigger games and bigger teams. I think we are ready for it now."

The SunDogs came back from down 24-17 in one set that Byers called the "turning point" of the tournament.

They beat the Moose Jaw Outerlimits, PVC Element, Martensville and Regina. Their only loss game to the Southshore Stingers.

Their tournament in Saskatoon starts on March 24th.
