The 16U Girls Jr Sundogs Black volleyball team weaved their way through their home-tournament schedule to near-perfection over the weekend, clinching Gold.

round robin play resulted in six wins and a split for the Jr Sundogs:

Win - Shaunavon (25-5, 25-7),
Split - Medicine Hat Wild (23-25, 25-17)
Win - Southeast Vipers (25-17, 25-16)
Win - Medicine Hat Smash (25-18, 25-23)
Win - Thunder Creek Volleyball Club (25-22, 25-23)
Win - JCVC Big Red (25-16, 25-17)
Win - Dunmore Broncos (25-16, 25-17)

The quarter-finals meant a rematch with Shaunavon, where the Jr Sundogs took the first set 25-22, and followed that up a 25-20 score to advance in straight sets to the semis.

Another straight set win over the Dunmore Broncos of the exact same score as their final round robin match (25-16, 25-17) meant a rematch with the Medicine Hat Wild in the final.

It took three sets, but the Jr Sundogs defended home court for the Gold medal over the Wild. They won the first set 25-22, dropped the second 19-25, and thrived in the third 15-10.
