A young Junior Sundogs Under 18 Boys Volleyball team will be attending provincials this weekend in Saskatoon.The team is made up of two grade tens and only one graduating player, with the rest being grade elevens.
After winning bronze at a tournament last weekend, head coach Les Collins said the team is peaking at the right time, “We've got everybody on the team knows there role, know where they sit, and they know what they need to bring to this team. The guys all get along so if you can keep that positive attidtude going till about provincials it's nothing but a plus.”
Collins said despite having such a young squad they have been steadily improving all year. Although the focus is on winning this weekend the team is also looking to the future, “Really want to play the best teams and succeed and kind of set the stage for this program to grow for years to grow.”
The 16 and Under Junior Sundogs Girls team will also be attending provincials this weekend.
