Seniors from across the southwest will be coming to Swift Current to show they can still play.

The City wil be hosting the regional 55-Plus SummerGames tomorrow with a number of events ranging from track and field, golf and bowling to games like bridge whist and scrabble.

Local golfer Muriel Wiebe said that she enjoys competing at this level and meeting people throughout the season.

"to go on to provincials you meet new people and then the nationals, to golf with people from Ontario and Quebec is very much the same as we are. They are not that much better and they are not that much worse so it's fun," said Wiebe who won at Provincials and Nationals four years ago.

This year Provincials will be held in Humboldt in July and nationals will be held in Alberta.

Registration begins at 9 o'clock in the morning at the Credit Union I-plex and after the activities a banquet will begin a 5:30 in the evening.
