A heavy dose of late-game heroics handed the Swift Current 57's their 16th win of the season.

The 57's (16-17) defeated the Moose Jaw Miller Express (17-14) 5-4 in a 12-inning walk-off thriller last night at Mitchell Field.

Moose Jaw jumped out to the early lead with a three-run homer in the top of the first inning, adding another run in the top of the sixth to take what looked to be a comfortable 4-0 lead.

Cue another comeback by the 57's.

Bo McClintock broke Wednesday's scoring drought with his franchise-record 13th home run of the season in the bottom of the sixth to cut the deficit to three runs.

Jered Binsfield cut the margin to two runs with a seventh-inning double, scoring Ethan Hunter from third base.

Then, in the bottom of the ninth inning, Jerad Dokey stepped up to the plate with the bases loaded and one out.

The second baseman singled to right field, cashing in both Hunter from third base, and Anthony Stewart from second to tie the game at 4-4, sending the game to extras.

The three hour and 40-minute thriller ended in the bottom of the 12th as Ethan Hunter ripped a one-out single to left field, scoring the speedy Myles Miller from second.

Miller narrowly avoided a Miller Express tag at the plate, as the 57's stormed the field, and swarmed the heroic Hunter.

The shortstop finished with a game-high four hits in five plate appearances, adding a walk as well.

Tommy Steier was credited with the W for the 57's pitching a scoreless, hit-less 12th inning out of the pen. He gave up a pair of walk and struck out one MJ batter in the final frame.

The walk-off win was the third of the season for the 57's.

Swift looks to make it three wins in a row tonight, as they welcome the Eastern Divsion's second-place Regina Red Sox (20-11) to Mitchell Field for a 7:05 p.m. start.
