A new Saskatchewan women's senior hockey league is set to begin play with a Swift Current team in the mix.

The new league will feature teams in Saskatoon, Regina, Dinsmore, Swift Current, and possibly more.  Games are set to begin October 18th.

Locally, Meagan Jamieson is behind the Swift Current Coyotes.  "We've realized there is some demand for more competitive women's hockey in the province and Swift Current."

As for the Coyotes, Jamieson says it's all coming together.  "We have a name, we have a logo, and the jerseys are on the way.  We are still looking for a coach.  We've talked to a few people, but are looking for someone who can commit for the season."
