A pair of silver medals for Junior SunDogs volleyball teams over the weekend.

Competing at Sask Cup #3 in Warman, the 15U Female SunDogs rebounded from a tough start en route to a silver medal.

After beginning the tournament 1-2, the SunDogs rolled to three straight victories before falling to Weyburn in the final.

The 15U female squad dropped decisions to the Prince Albert Toppers En Fuego (20-25, 13-25) and Oxbow Black Knights (23-25, 16-25).

In their lone win over the first three games, they defeated QCVC Royal Fusion in three sets (22-25, 25-17, 17-15).

Looking to turn things around, the SunDogs finished Saturday with a win over the JCVC Elite (19-25, 25-15, 15-8).

They then took advantage of that momentum en route to victories over Prince Albert in the quarter-finals (25-23, 25-17) and Oxbow in the semi-final in three sets (18-25, 25-13, 15-12).

Taking on the Weyburn Rush in the finals, the SunDogs fell 22-25, 25-12, 13-15.

Meanwhile, the 14U Female Black team rolled through their first five games in Moose Jaw before coming away with silver.

On Saturday, the SunDogs had a perfect record winning all three games.

They defeated the Moose Jaw Element (13-25, 25-10, 15-13), before downing the QCVC Ghostbusters (15-25, 25-19, 17-15), and the QCVC Warriors (25-11, 25-23).

Beginning the playoffs, the SunDogs came up against the SunDogs Yellow team and won 25-16, 25-19.
