For the second straight weekend, the Swift Current AA Mosquito Indians fell just short of winning a AAA tournament.

The team went undefeated through round-robin play, and disposed of the Regina White Sox team that beat them for the championship the prior weekend, before dropping a 4-2 decision in the final to the Saskatoon Braves.

AA Mosquito head coach Ken Wall said there are a few aspects of the team's game that impresses him.

"I think it's our competitiveness and the way we battle," said Wall. "I think we're really battling hard. We're probably as deep in pitching this year as we've been in a lot of years. We've got about six or seven guys that can all bring it and can all throw strikes. I think it's even our hitting."

The AA Mosquito Indians will attend a tournament in Weyburn next weekend.
