The Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club is pleased to announce that Jack Abendschan will be inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame & Museum. Entering the hall with Abendschan are former CFL greats Damon Allen, Milt Stegall, Tyron Jones, Eric LaPointe. David Braley and Peter Connellan will be inducted in the builder category and rounds out the class of 2011.

Abendschan played for the Roughriders from 1965-1975 as a punter/kicker. He still sits in third spot on the Rider All-Time list for points with 863. Over the course of the decade he spent with the Green and White, the New Mexico product tallied 312 converts and 159 field goals.

Over the course of his career Abendschan was named a Western Division All-Star seven times and a CFL All-Star five times. He was inducted into the Roughriders Plaza of Honor in 1992.
