A .423 batting average over his last six games has helped Swift Current 57's outfielder Blake Adams earn the WMBL Player of the Week honour.

Spending the week of June 5-12 in the three-hole of Head Coach Joe Carnahan's line-up, the Longview, Texas native served as a major force in the 57's batting order.

Over the past week Adams hit two home-runs, collecting six RBI, five runs scored and three stolen bases.

The Tarleton State University junior finished the week 11 for 26 at the plate.

"He has been outstanding for us all year." Carnahan said of Adams earlier this week. "The thing with him is absolute consistency. He has the same approach whether he in the dugout, in-the-hole, on-deck or at the plate. It is the same approach every single time and it is paying off for him."

Adams will look to remain hot as he and the 57's (6-3) get set to travel to Yorkton (2-7) on Wednesday, following a rain-out of their Tuesday contest against Medicine Hat.

To go along with the 57’s outfielder, Yorkton’s Kody Rock was named WMBL Pitcher of the Week.
