Saskatchewan skip Amber Holland

Canada has a new women's curling champion.

Saskatchewan's Amber Holland stole one in the tenth end, to beat defending champion Jennifer Jones and her team Canada rink 8-7 at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Charlottetown, PEI Sunday night.

It's Saskatchewan's first title since the late Sandra Schmirler won it in 1997.

Holland will now represent Canada and invade Denmark for the world women's curling championships in March.

With Holland's win, Saskatchewan rinks continue their domination of the Canadian curling scene this winter.  Saskatchewan rinks also won the national junior men's and women's championships.
