For the second straight game Brady Wilson recorded a hat-trick and helped lead the SWT Pee Wee Broncos to a provincial victory.

Wilson tallied three goals Friday night in Warman and Kalan Lind added a pair as the Broncos defeated the Wildcats 7-5 in game one of their best of three provincial final.

Warman started the game quickly, scoring just eight seconds into the game.

Wilson was able to respond for Swift Current though, scoring the first of his three goals to put the Broncos back on even ground.

After the Wildcats regained their one goal lead midway through the opening period, Wilson once again found the back of the net to tie the game just under two minutes later, before Lind gave the Broncos their first lead of the game with 5:33 left in the first.

Warman would go on to tie the score 3-3 with just over a minute left to play in the period though as the two teams hit the first intermission deadlocked.

Following a scoreless second period, Swift Current scored a pair of goals in a 17 second span early in the third to take a 5-3 lead.

Dayne Feicht scored the Broncos fourth goal, which was followed by Lind’s second of the game.

Then just over a minute later, Anthony Wilson increased Swift Current’s lead to 6-3.

After Warman cut the lead to 6-4, Brady Wilson finished off his hat-trick to restore the three goal lead at 7-4 with 8:43 left to play.

The Wildcats would go on to score once more, but would not come any closer.

With the win, Swift Current now leads the best of three provincial final 1-0 and will have a chance to clinch the provincial title on home ice on Sunday.

Game two will be played at 5:00pm on Sunday from Fairview East.
