The Swift Current Broncos hit the alarm clock and heard Sonny and Cher again on Saturday night. It must have felt like Groundhog Day as they lost in overtime for the 4th time in 5 games this season. They've had third period leads in each one of those games.

The Broncos got a star performance from Landon Bow in his first career WHL game. He stopped 42 of 44 Saskatoon shots and had a shutout into the final moments of regulation.

Two late penalties by Levi Bews and Adam Lowry gave the Blades a 5 on 3 and Matej Stransky deflected in a Connor Cox point shot with time ticking down on the second penalty to tie the game at 1. Josh Nicholls then took a bank pass from Duncan Siemens and beat Bow with a nive move to his backhand in overtime.

Ryon Moser had the lone goal for the Broncos just over 2 minutes into the third period to break a scoreless tie. He came out of the penalty box after serving Bow's tripping penalty and made a nice move to the slot to beat Andrey Makarov. The Blades goaltender made 26 saves on 27 Swift Current shots.

Discipline was again an issue for the Broncos as they gave up 7 power play opportunities and only had 3 of their own.

Swift Current is now off until next Friday when they visit the Blades. They're home again next Saturday against Regina.
