It was a less convincing victory than some recent games, but nonetheless, the Kabos Bantam AA Broncos extended their winning streak to nine games Saturday night at Fairview West.

At home against the Regina Monarchs, the Bantam Broncos scored first just under three minutes into the game on what would prove to be a vital connection in the game between Rhys O'Neill and Hayden Wilm. Kalan Lind got an assist on the play as well.

Regina would later tie the game up on a power-play goal nearing the end of the period, but with just 51 seconds left in the opening frame, Lind found the back of the net on a feed from McKale Paul to put Swift Current back up on top.

The Bantam Broncos would surrender two unanswered second-period goals as the Monarchs pulled ahead 3-2... a rare deficit in the 2017-18 regular season.

However, in typical fashion, Swift Current bounced right back in the same frame as, once again, Wilm found O'Neill who buried the puck past the Monarchs goaltender to tie the game. Then, Cash Arntsen gave the Bantam Broncos the lead with a tic-tac-toe passing display from Noah Wills and Keagon Little.

The 4-3 lead through two periods would carry through the final 20 minutes as well, as Broncos goaltender Vincent Pinsonneault stopped 11 third-period Regina shots on his way to recording another win in net.

That wraps up the Broncos' October schedule, and the Saskatchewan Bantam AA Hockey League's south division-leading Swift Current side has shown little-to-no indication that their dominance might fade as the winter months approach.

The Kabos Bantam AA Broncos kick off November with a contest this Friday at Fairview West against the visiting Regina Pat Blues - a team Swift edged 2-1 in Regina on October 8.
