The Swift Current Sr. Ardens basketball team have clinched their spot in this year's HOOPLA provincial basketball tournament.
The 2nd seeded Ardens needed to pick up a win yesterday against 7th seeded Saskatoon Centennial in Swift Current in order to advance to HOOPLA, and that is exactly what they did, coming away with a 58-50 victory.
With their spot for HOOPLA now secured, Swift Current will continue play today, looking to win the regional tournament.
The regional tournament will conclude today, with the gold medal game scheduled for 6:45 tonight.
HOOPLA will begin next weekend in Saskatoon.
