The Swift Current Comp. Ardens kicked off the season with a pair of exhibition wins on Tuesday.

The two-time defending Moose Jaw High School Soccer League champions posted a pair of shutout wins over Weyburn and Estevan to open the season on the road in Moose Jaw.

The Ardens started the afternoon with a 4-0 win over Estevan and followed up with a 5-0 victory over Weyburn.

Goalkeepers Britney Cleaveley and Beriah Klein shared the win over Estevan, while Cleaveley and Cassandra Furey-Cameron combined to shutout Weyburn.

Emilie Erlandson paced the offense with three goals and two assists, Kaity Letwiniuk found the back of the net on four occasions, and Cassidy Andres added two goals and two assists..

The Ardens will head back to Moose Jaw on Saturday to open the regular season against Weyburn and Estevan.

They will play their first home game on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. when the Moose Jaw Vanier Vikings visit Irwin Field.
