Ardens Impress at Provincial Tournament

The Swift Current Ardens Soccer team won a silver medal at this weekend's 3A Provincial Soccer tournament held in Weyburn.

They lost 4-2 to Saskatoon Evan Hardy in the final. The girls gave everything they had.

Full Interview with Dale Perry"I'm extremely happy for the girls," said Arden's Head Coach Dale Perry. "They worked their butts off for the whole weekend and we played pretty good soccer all year but they were absolutely fantastic, I'm extremely proud of them."

The team has battled all year and this weekend was no exception.

"Three times this season that the girls went down 2-0 and the girls battled back to win games," added Perry. "Including the final we went down 2-0 and they battled back to tie it up and didn't quite get the win but played fantastic soccer against a really,really strong opponent."

Perry also added special thanks to three girls graduating this year.

"Kaylee Kyle, Emilee Erlandson, Cassidy Andres. Oh they have been playing a big role for four years that they have been here. They basically came on to the team in grade nine as starters and have been fantastic players for their entire career."

The Ardens also won the Moose Jaw high school league championship and the regional championship.
