The dominant Swift Current Comp. Ardens girls soccer team isn't resting on their historic achievement. The club is still focused on taking a run at provincials.

The Ardens won a record third consecutive Moose Jaw High School Soccer League crown this week and have won 25 straight league games. They head to regionals this weekend.

Coach Dale Perry preaches they play a well rounded game.

"We take care of our back end as much as we take care of our front end," Perry said. "It's not necessarily so much a defensive first system, but we insist that they are defensively responsible."

Swift Current is powered by a pair of very talented strikers.

"Kaity Letwiniuk has absolute blazing speed, a passion that you just can't find in anybody, she's driven to play soccer," Perry said. "Cassidy Andres is the full package player (with) incredible vision and a booming kick."

"The two of them together are like thunder and lightning."

The Ardens are already qualified for provincials, but will try to earn a higher seed with a win at regionals this weekend. Perry knows provincials will be a much tougher test against schools from the big cities that recruit most of the best players in their region.
