The Tarpon Energy Atom AA Broncos opened their 2017-18 regular season at home this past weekend.

The Atom Broncos and Yorkton Terriers hit the Fairview East ice Saturday evening, as the Broncos emerged with a 4-1 win.

Parker Rondeau had a three-point night (2 goals, 1 assist), while Ryder Woods added a goal and an assist, and Daxer Schroeder had two assists to round out the team's multi-point efforts.

Derric Dulatre added a goal and Nate Silbernagel had an assist as well.

Game two on Sunday morning proved to be an intense high-scoring contest between the two teams.

The Broncos led the Terriers 4-3 after the first period, and matched each other's goal totals in the second and third, as Swift Current out-gunned Yorkton 8-7.

Once again frequently finding their way onto the stat sheet were Woods (4 G, 1 A) and Rondeau (4 A). Dulatre had a goal and an assist, and Aston Annesley had a pair of assists in the game.

Seven other Atom Broncos recorded points as Schroeder, Hayden Winslow, and Ty Switzer each scored once, while Brady Simpson, Silbernagel, Aidan Robinson, and Levi Wills had single assists.

The Tarpon Energy Atom AA Broncos host Estevan in a three-game homestand October 27, 28, and 29 at Fairview East arena.
