For the 2nd straight home game, the Broncos' Zack Smith scored the shootout winner.

The Broncos needed to rally back from a 2nd period 3-0 hole against Calgary to get the win.  The Broncos, who were playing their 7th game in 10 nights, dug deep to score three powerplay goals from Daniel Rakos, Eric Doyle, and Derek Claffey - his first ever WHL goal.

In the shootout, Bronco rookie, Geordie Wudrick, scored in the third round to keep it alive.  Then in round five, Zack Smith would score the winner to push the Broncos home ice record to 15-7-1 this season.

The Broncos were without several key players including Jeremy Schenderling (back), Kyle Bortis (ankle) and Levi Nelson (suspension).

Travis Yonkman picked up the win in goal as he replaced starter Kyle Moir in the 2nd period down 3-0.  Yonkman made 21 saves to help his team fight back.

The Broncos continue the homestand Wednesday against Spokane.
