After falling in their first two contests of the season, the Swift Current Pure Chem Bantam AA Broncos earned their sixth-straight win Sunday night.

The Bantam AA Broncos laid a 9-4 beatdown on the Melville Millionaires at Fairview West, though the game was a lot closer for a lot longer than that score suggests.

Melville held a 2-1 lead through the first 20 minutes, though Swift Current tied it up at 2-2 just 57 seconds into the second period. The Bantam AA Broncos then added three more unanswered to take a 5-2 lead.

The lead was nearly erased as the Millionaires came back with a pair of goals to cut Swift's margin to one.

However, that's as close as Melville got. Including a pair to close the second period and two more in the third, the Bantam Broncos went on another streak of four unanswered goals to pull away for good.

Swift Current used nine multi-point efforts in the win, led by forward Kalan Lind, who posted two goals and two assists.

Dayne Feicht and Daniel Ganert each chipped in a goal and two assists, while Mckale Paul, Ayden Lamarre, Kane Klassen, Riley Bowers, Rhett Dekowny, and Carter Lamotte had a pair of points. Colby Watson posted a 20-save performance, earning him the win.

For Lind, his four-point performance lifts his team-leading season total to 21 in eight games. That includes a lofty nine goals and 14 points in just his last three contests.

The Bantam Broncos have now wrapped up their November league schedule, and have to wait until December 8 to jump back into league play.

Though, when they do, the Bantam AA Broncos will be on the road in about as premiere of a prospect matchup as one can find in the Sask Bantam AA League.

On the road against the Martensville Marauders, the game will see a battle of three of the Top 10 projected picks in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft, according to the website DraftGeek.

The rankings, as of November 5, have Martensville forwards Brayden Yager at #2 and Riley Heidt at #6, while Swift Current's Lind sits at #9.

The game will feature four of the top six scoring out-puts in the province as well. Yager has a league-high 2.8 points-per-game (25 points in nine games), Swift's Feicht carries the second-best rate at 2.7 (19 in seven), Lind's mark of 2.6 puts him in a three-way tie for third, while Heidt has a rate of 2.4 points-per-game (22 in nine).

The Bantam Broncos (6-2-0-0) and Marauders (9-0-0-0) face off December 8 at 4:30 p.m. from the Martensville Sports Centre.
