The Swift Current Bantam AA Indians are already 15 games into the season and are one game over 500 so far.

This past weekend saw the defending league champions split a pair of games with the Regina White Sox.

Coach Mike Kozyn says they have a good ball club as they look to repeat the league title.

"I'm really impressed with the batting and the skill level of all the boys. We are very young, we only have three returning players from last year and we've got a couple bantams, and second years, and the rest are pee wees," said Kozyn.

He says they have a good, young team poised at making a run at the title, including the Western Canadian Baseball Championships set to return to Swift Current in August.

"We are very well known as good ball teams, in any division in Swift Current and people are always gunning for us, this year is no exception. We are defending AAA league champions in the Regina league as of last year and our goal is to win provincials and then play on into Western," said Kozyn.

The Tribe split two games against the Buffaloes last weekend in Regina, and visit Moose Jaw tomorrow night.
