A great crowd was treated to some international hockey at the Fairview Arenas last night.
Moscow Atlant, a girls bantam team from Russia, defeated the Swift Current Female Bantam Colts 7-1 in an exhibition game. The game started a nine-game tour across southern Saskatchewan for the Russian team.
15-year-old Russian right winger Rika Vichdyadyuna talked about the big win through an interpreter.
She added that she and her team had a great time during their visit to Swift Current.
The Russian team travels to Weyburn for a game tonight.
