A dominant performance by the Swift Current Kabos Bantam Raiders Tuesday night as they whipped Moose Jaw 7-1, outshooting the Bantam Warriors 60-8.

"We controlled the play, the shots were pretty one-sided, the guys did a real good job," said Raiders coach Kent Woods. "On Sunday, we didn't do a very good job of tracking pucks back, today we re-focused on that, and the guys tracked pucks, picked up the loose man, we made them make turnovers, and got them to go back the other way and once we got possession, we maintained it in their end."

Woods adds the Raiders have found their offensive touch, scoring 32 goals in their last five games.

"This month of January, we started to do that," he added. "We're starting to score six or seven goals a game in those games, where in the start of the year, we lost a lot of 4-3 and 3-2 where we outshot teams as bad, now we're finding a way that guys are starting to chip in."

Forward Jarett Gerlach has led the way lately with 9 points in his last 5 games to more than double his point total for the season.

"I just started listening to my coach and going hard to win all the battles that I can, and getting everything to net," Gerlach said. "I feel really good, just getting out there, and scoring some goals really boosts my confidence."

The Raiders are sitting in second place in the south division of the Saskatchewan Bantam AA league, and will host Weyburn on Saturday.
