The bats came alive in a big way Sunday afternoon for the Swift Current 57's earning them a split in Okotoks and a road trip record of 2-1.

Looking to rebound from Saturday's 9-1 defeat at the hands of the Dawgs, Swift Current used 21 hits as they rolled past Okotoks 17-6.

All nine players in Swift Current's starting line-up registered at least one hit and one RBI.

Riley Campbell and Brett Esau both finished the game with three RBI, while Blake Adams, Grant Van Scoy and Keil Krumwiede all drove in two runs.

57's starting pitcher Bobby St. Pierre (3-3) got the win on the mound throwing five innings, giving up four runs on four hits and three walks.

The Windsor, Ontario native tied his season high for strike-outs in a game with six.

Throughout the game, the 57's provided St. Pierre with plenty of support.

Swift Current put in ten runs in the first five innings, before adding two runs in both the 7th and 8th innings and three more in the 9th.

With the victory, combined with Regina's 2-1 loss to Medicine Hat, the 57's pulled within one game of the Red Sox for top spot in the East Division.

The 57's will have the day off on Monday in preparation for a home date with Moose Jaw on Tuesday.
