It is impossible to win a game if you don't score, and unfortunately for the Swift Current 57's that was the case Sunday night.

Hosting the Weyburn Beavers, the 57's dropped their third straight game, falling 6-0 to Weyburn.

Despite hitting the baseball hard on multiple occasions, Swift Current was only able to manage three hits and a walk throughout the night.

Weyburn jumped out to an early lead scoring one run in the 1st and two more in the 2nd.

The score remained 3-0 until the top of the 9th when the Beavers tacked on three more.

Matt Michalski was hit the loss on the mound for Swift Current, allowing five runs (three earned) over eight innings of work.

With the loss, the 57's lead over Weyburn for second the East Division is down to half a game, while Swift Current fell a game and a half back of Regina for first.

The 57's will however, have a chance to make up ground on the Red Sox Monday night when they host Regina.

First pitch is set for 7:05pm from Mitchell Field.
