Roller derby action at the Credit Union iplex Saturday night
Swift Current's Redneck Betties earned a 176-103 win over the "Jaw Breakers" from Moose Jaw in rollerderby action Saturday night.
A sell-out crowd watched the first of what will be five matches at the Credit Union iPlex this season.
"It was amazing, we came together as a team, we have come so far since last year," said Betties team member "Funkie" who was awarded the Player of the Game. "We have done a complete '180' with our playing, our learning, our skills, everything. We're all just amazing girls, and an amazing group of people. It's just awesome."
The Betties are now off until their match-up with Regina on May 12th.
