The Redneck Betties roller derby team played their final bout of their rookie season on Sat Nov 12 in Saskatoon against the Killa’ Bee’s. The Betties came up short, losing 141-124. Uncharacteristic mental mistakes cost the team early on and penalties continued to hurt the team throughout the bout. There were frequent lead changes, but in the end the Betties ran out of time in their comeback bid. The team finishes their inaugural season with a hard-earned 3-4 record.

The Betties would like to say ‘Thank You’ to one of the pioneers with the team, #47 Lulu Lynchmob, who has decided to hang up her skates. Lulu has been a tremendously well-liked and respected teammate and friend. She was one of the very best booty blockers around.

Come and celebrate the Betties’ successful first season with the team at the ‘Gimme Mo Betties’ party at the Lyric Theatre on Sat Nov 26th to launch the new Redneck Betties calendar and raise money for Movember Canada.
