Tonight's Swift Current Broncos Black & White game is important for a couple of reasons.

It's a chance for players on the bubble to push for roster spots. It is also a fundraiser as $2.00 from every ticket sold is going towards the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Broncos forward Taylor Vause lives with diabetes every day and is happy the team is helping raise money for the cause.

"It's great to see," Vause said. "I always like to give back there and be able to tell little kids they can still play hockey and any sport they want. It's not going to hold them back."

Vause says after two years of learning to deal with his diabetes he feels like he is in the best shape he has been.

The Calgary native is one of four overage forwards battling for only three roster spots in that age group.

Game time for the Black & White game is 7pm at the Credit Union iPlex.
