Tonight is the first meeting of the season between the Swift Current Broncos and Saskatoon Blades.

The Broncos lost 4-3 to Calgary in a shoot out Tuesday night. Trevor Cameron scored and had an assist filling in for the injured Coda Gordon in a top six role. The Mission, BC native knew it was important for him to take advantage of the extra ice time.

"It was everything," Cameron said. "This was the biggest game of my season so far. I needed to work hard and show everybody I could be there."

"I did my best, hopefully it was good enough."

Cameron started the game at right win on the top line with Taylor Vause and Adam Lowry. He set up one of Vause's two goals on the night before being shifted to the second line with Graham Black and Ryon Moser. Brad Hoban took Cameron's place on the top unit in the third period.

Gordon is out with upper body soreness after being hit dangerously into the boards against Prince Albert on Saturday. Broncos Coach/GM Mark Lamb says nothing is broken and they are hoping the talented rookie won't be out of the line-up long.

After last night's shoot out loss, the Broncos have still failed to string together wins at any point this season. It's going to take a consistent effort from the whole roster to get on any kind of winning streak.

"You need everybody on board," said Assistant Coach Darren Evjen. "You can't have a couple of guys just riding the rail."

Saskatoon is one of four teams in the East Division and eight teams in the Eastern Conference with a winning percentage over 0.600%. The Blades are coming off a 5-2 win over Brandon last night.

You can hear the game on The Eagle 94.1 FM starting at 6:30pm. The puck drops in the Credit Union iPlex at 7:05pm.
