Canada's World Junior team picked up a 3-0 tournament opening win over the Czech Republic yesterday.

     Canada opened up its defence of the World Junior Hockey Championship with a win over the host country.  Seventeen-year-old John Tavares scored twice in the win.  Jonathan Bernier made 30 saves for the shutout.

     The win was Canada's 19th straight in the tournament.
