CurlingBrier2012

The Tim Hortons Brier starts today in Saskatoon, and a relative unknown will be representing the home team.

Scott Manners and his rink from the Battleford Curling Club shocked the province when they won the SaskTel Tankard last month, and joins a stellar Brier field that includes former champions Glenn Howard and Kevin Koe, whose rink includes five-time Saskatchewan champion skip Pat Simmons.

Manners' first game is against P-E-I in the opening draw this afternoon.
