In the WHL, momentum can change quickly.

Heading into the Easter weekend Swift Current was riding high after a triple-overtime victory to take a 3-1 series lead over the Regina Pats.

Now, with the weekend in the rearview mirror, the Broncos suddenly find their backs against the wall.

A pair of victories on Friday and Saturday for the CHL's top ranked team has sent their Eastern Conference Semi-Final series the distance, as the two teams will meet at the Brandt Centre Monday night to decide the winner.

"It's playoff hockey," said Broncos Associate Coach Ryan Smith.

"There are going to be up's and down's, you can't get too high or too low. Good teams always find a way to make it work for them whether it is on the road or at home."

Much like the series, Saturday night's game six in Swift Current was full of momentum swings.

The Pats got on the board first, before the Broncos responded with three unanswered goals, followed by Regina coming back with four unanswered goals.

"You just have to try and stay with the plan," Smith said.

"There is no miracle or special play you can draw up. You just need to stay with what go you success earlier in the game."

During the second period of game six, the Broncos seemed to be on the verge of putting the game out of reach, when Pats goalie Tyler Brown made a handful of crucial saves to keep the score at 3-1.

"We weren't at the net, we weren't in the crease and we were not getting greasy," said Broncos forward Arthur Miller after they were unable to extend their two goal lead.

Swift Current will enter Monday night's game seven in familiar territory.

In their opening round series against Moose Jaw, the Broncos dropped game six at home before going on the road to down the Warriors in game seven.

"I think a little bit of that will come into play but it is a different team, a different series and a different time," said Smith.

"Our back are against the wall now. Now we are even-steven and it is a one game winner take all."

The winner of Monday's game seven will have to wait till Tuesday to find out their opponent.

In the other Eastern Conference Semi-Final, the Lethbridge Hurricanes and Medicine Hat Tigers are also going the distance.
