The Medicine Hat Tigers are travelling down the TransCanada today for one of two visits in Swift Current this season.

Swift Current is coming off a week where they earned six of a possible eight points.

"There's a good feeling with the team right now," said defenceman Julius Honka. "We just need to focus on our details in the upcoming games. We know we have a good team and we just need to focus on those little things out there."

He is also aiming to improve after two straight losses in extra time.

"Everybody knows that we can do better," Honka said. "This weekend is a huge weekend and we're going to show that we are a good team."

Swift Current and Medicine Hat have split their season series so far. The Broncos' win came thanks to a heroic 46 save effort by Eetu Laurikainen back on January 4th in Medicine Hat.

"They're always a really tough match-up for us," said Broncos Coach/GM Mark Lamb. "We know we can play with anybody. I'm glad we're playing them at home we've had a tough time in their barn. We can get some match-ups that hopefully we can win."

Swift Current goes into action tonight tied with Brandon on top of the East Division. The Wheat Kings are in Calgary.

We've got the broadcast of Pioneer Co-op Home Centre Broncos Hockey on The Eagle 94.1 FM at 6:30pm.

Meanwhile, the Broncos announced that Taj Smith, Mike Mccullough, Dan Clark, Diamond Ferri, Jordan Sisco and Grainer the Gopher will represent the Saskatchewan Roughriders as they bring the Grey Cup to the Credit Union iPlex on Saturday night when the Prince George Cougars are in town.
