(Adam Lowry and Reece Scarlett are likely selections in the 2011 NHL Draft)

It's the day young hockey players have been dreaming of their whole lives.

The thirty NHL teams are gathered in Minnesota for the 2011 Entry Draft.

The Edmonton Oilers kicked off the Draft Friday by selecting Red Deer Rebels Forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins first overall, the first WHLer to be taken first in the NHL Draft since Chris Phillips in 1996.

Swift Current Broncos Coach and General Manager Mark Lamb expects both Reece Scarlett and Adam Lowry will get their names called over the weekend.

He notes both players received plenty of interest from scouts throughout the season and have talked to numerous teams leading up to the draft.

Scarlett is ranked 57th among North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting.

Lowry comes in just behind him at 58th.

Lamb also feels like big Czech defenceman Richard Nedomlel has a good shot of getting drafted. Nedomlel is ranked 206th.
