Swift Current Broncos forward Logan Barlage has been selected as one of 54 players from around the CHL (66 in total) who will be representing Canada at the 2017 World U-17 Hockey Challenge next month.

Barlage joins 13 other WHL-ers and will be among those divided into Team Canada Black, Team Canada Red, and Team Canada White for the tournament.

The U-17 Canadian teams will be competing against the Czech Republic, Finland, Russia, Sweden, and the United States.

The 6'4" centerman has 3 assists through the first nine games of the 2017-18 WHL regular season, and suited up for four regular season games as well as 13 playoff games with the Broncos during the 2016-17 season, after spending most of the season with the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League's Prince Albert Mintos.

In 46 games with the Mintos last season, the Broncos 4th-overall bantam draft pick in 2016 recorded 76 points (37 G, 39 A), on his way to being named the league's Most Valuable Player, Rookie of the Year, and Top Forward.

The 2017 World U-17 Hockey Challenge runs November 5-11 in Dawson Creek and Fort St. John, B.C.
