The Swift Current Broncos scored three goals on the powerplay to defeat their rival Regina Pats, 5-2.

The Pats led 1-0 in the second period before beginning to unravel with undisciplined play.

Spencer McAvoy scored the first power play goal to even the game late in the second period.  Then, Geordie Wudrick scored with 12 seconds to play in the period to give the Broncos the lead after two periods.

Wudrick now has goals in seven straight games, which is tied for the longest streak this season in the WHL with Brandon's Jay Fehr.

Dillon Wagner, Keegan Dansereau, and Jan Dalecky's empty-netter rounded out the scoring as Travis Yonkman made 26 saves for the win in goal.  Yonkman's biggest save was perhaps his penalty shot save on Jordan Eberle midway through the third period.

The Broncos have now beaten the Pats in five straight meetings.

They host Edmonton on Friday night.
