The Swift Current Broncos swept the season-opening, home-and-home series against the Moose Jaw Warriors with a 3-2 win last night.

Taylor Vause scored his first-ever WHL goal, and rookie Jordan Peddle scored his second goal in as many games to build a 2-0 lead for the Broncos in the first period.  Riley Grantham scored a pair for the Warriors in the second period to tie the game.  Keegan Danserau scored for the Broncos mid-way through the third, and that would stand up to be the game winner.

Travis Yonkman picked up his second-straight win, making 23 saves.  Todd Mathews countered with 32 saves for the Warriors.

The Broncos play again Friday night when they host the Saskatoon Blades at the Credit Union iplex.
