The Swift Current Broncos avenged Wednesday's heartbreaking loss to the Brandon Wheat Kings, with a 5-4 shootout win over the Wheaties in the rematch last night.

Brad Hoban got the winner in the shootout.

Hoban had an assist in regulation, while rookie Coda Gordon picked up his first WHL goal.

Adam Lowry, Richard Nedomlel and Taylor Vause also scored for the Broncos, and Austin Smith made 26 saves for the win in goal.

The Broncos pick up their first win of the season, and head to Moose Jaw tonight to face the Warriors at the brand-new Mosaic Place. You can hear the game on the Eagle 94.1, starting with the pre-game show at 6:30.
