With speculation raging on the future of Manny Viveiros, the Swift Current Broncos have called a media conference for tomorrow morning to address personnel changes.

Sources across the hockey world have been hinting at professional opportunities for Viveiros throughout the long playoff run for the Broncos.

The WHL Coach of the Year led the Broncos to their first Ed Chynoweth Cup as WHL champions in 25 years. He could be taking his next step with the NHL's Edmonton Oilers.

"Congratulations to Glen Gulutzan and Trent Yawney on joining Todd McLellan’s Oiler coaching staff," wrote Sportsnet's John Shannon on Twitter. "Sounds like Manny Viveiros won’t be far behind."

TSN also reported that Viveiros would sign with the Oilers.

Viveiros fills the role of both Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel with the Broncos. He led the Broncos to a 39-23-4-6 record in his first season and all the way to a Game 7 in the second round with the eventual Eastern Conference Champion Regina Pats.

The former Prince Albert Raiders defenceman took the team to another level this season with a record of 48-17-5-2 good enough for second best in the WHL. The Broncos would then go on to beat Regina, Moose Jaw, Lethbridge and Everett on the way to hoisting the Ed Chynoweth Cup.

Their season ended yesterday after a 6-5 loss to Regina to wrap up an 0-3 appearance at the Memorial Cup tournament in Regina.

Wording in the release announcing tomorrow's media conference suggests multiple personnel changes.

Board Chair Trent McCleary and "select members of Broncos’ staff" will be in attendance tomorrow morning at 11am.

The Broncos will then host a celebration of their WHL Championship season tomorrow night from 5pm to 8pm at Riverside Park.
