The Broncos got a huge 6-3 win over Regina in game 5 of the playoffs last night, and could move to the next round with a win tonight at the Credit Union iplex.

The Broncos got two goals by Levi Nelson in the third period to put the game away, and an empty-netter in the final seconds was added by Geordie Wudrick.  Zack Smith and Eric Doyle also scored big goals while short-handed, and Justin Dowling scored in the second.  Travis Yonkman played brilliantly in the Broncos' net, making 20 saves.

The Broncos lead the best-of-seven series at 3-2, and could clinch the series on home ice tonight, but they may have to do so without Forward Eric Felde.  He went down in the third period after blocking a shot in the kneecap area.

Assistant Coach Tim Kehler doesn't know the extent of the injury, saying it could range between a bad bruise and a fracture, which he says is the biggest fear.  Felde was taken for x-rays and we hope to know his status soon.

Season-ticket holders have until 12:00noon today to reserve their seats for tonight; otherwise, their tickets will go to walk-up sales.  You can call the Broncos' Office to stake your claim at 773-1509.

Face-off for game six is at 7:30pm, with The Eagle 94.1FM picking up coverage from the Credit Union iplex starting at 7:00pm.
